FALL FESTIVAL

SEPTEMBER 26

Our Annual Fall Festival is Saturday, September 26th from 11am-3pm. Join us for a day of Fall Fun.
We've had to make a few changes to make sure everyone stays safe & healthy while they have fun.

We will have an Exotic Animal Display from Peaceable Kingdom Petting Zoo. Lot's of amazing animals to see and learn about. (Sorry, no petting this year) 

There will be a FREE pumpkin patch & pumpkin decorating. Each child will receive a prepackaged decorating kit, so nothing is shared. Kids can stay & play or take & go! There will also be individually 
packaged crafts for the kids too!

BEST BAKER CONTEST

SEPTEMBER 26TH

Calling all BAKERS! It's time for the 2nd Annual Best Baker Contest at the Qmart.
Does everyone rave about your pie? Do you have a secret family recipe that makes the most delicious pie? Do you love to bake and are looking for a little competition? Look no further, get your bake on and enter the Best Baker Contest. Pies will be judged on Flavor, Texture, Outside Characteristics, Originality and Process. The Winner will receive $100 in Market Bucks. Entry Forms with complete rules will be available at the Market Office and Entrance Flyer Boxes.

Pies will be due at 12:45pm with judging starting at 1pm on Saturday, September 26th. Your entry will need to be delivered to the Entry Table located in front of the Outdoor Stage behind the Main Market.

SCARECROW CONTEST

SEPT 26-OCT 31

Fall is just around the corner and it's time for SCARECROWS!! The Market is holding our first ever Scarecrow Contest. Shoppers can create their handmade scarecrow at home and bring it to the Market to enter our contest. All scarecrows will be displayed around the Market from Saturday, September 26th thru Saturday, October 31st. Shoppers will vote for their favorite scarecrows and the top 3 will be announced on Halloween. CASH Prizes: 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $50 & 3rd Place $25!
Rules & Entry Blanks located in all the Entrance Flyer Boxes at the Market.

Scarecrow Description:
·  All scarecrows must be homemade - You can use any materials you like to build your scarecrow, there are no restrictions – with just one exception: pre-molded or commercially available face masks ARE NOT permitted
·  Scarecrows must be able to withstand outdoor weather conditions. 
·  Scarecrows must be between 4’-8’ tall and be able to be staked into a hay bale for display.
·  Scarecrows entries must have a name or title.
·  When designing your scarecrow please keep in mind this is a family event. No political or overly violent scarecrows will be accepted.
·  The Quakertown Farmers reserves the right to reject any scarecrows deemed inappropriate or commercially made and does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any of the displays.
 
Who Can Participate?
 
·  Families or individuals 
·  Businesses 
·  Community Groups such as 4H, scouts, classrooms, school clubs, etc.
·   
Timeline:
·  Scarecrows must be built, and entries must be submitted by Saturday, September 26th by 3pm. 
·  Scarecrows must be on display on Saturday, September 26th thru Sunday, October 31st.
·  Shoppers will view the scarecrows and submit their votes from Saturday, September 26th thru Saturday, October 31st.
·  Winners will be announced on Saturday, October 31st at 2pm.
·  Winners will be contacted on Saturday, October 31st after 2pm to receive their prizes. 
·  Scarecrows will need to be collected by 5pm on Sunday, November 1st or they will become property of the Quakertown Farmers Market.
·   
Judging:
·  Creativity and originality – Shoppers will be looking for scarecrows with that little bit extra, it may be the materials used or the way the scarecrow has been made.
·  Shoppers can cast their votes each weekend until the contest ends.
·  Voting will end at 1pm on Saturday, October 31st.
·  Votes will be tallied, and the winners announced at 2pm.

TRICK OR TREAT

OCTOBER 24

Trick or Treat thru the Market will be a go for this year. Children ages 1-12 years will be able to stroll thru the Market to collect Candy on Saturday, October 24th from 1pm-3pm. Families will be able to come and go as they please during the 2 hour period. We will NOT be lining up prior to the start of trick or treating, we want everyone to be spaced out as much as possible. This will allow the kids to still come out and have fun, but won't have everyone gathered for the event at one time. We ask everyone to please have a mask or face covering on while they are at the Market, we want evryone to be as safe as possible! The Market will be setup in Dept. #353A with Candy & a few tricks up our sleeves for the event!

FALL CRAFT FAIR

OCTOBER 17 & 18

Our Fall Craft Fair will be held October 17th and 18th. Vendors will be located in Event Room #201 plus Entrance #19, across from Auntie Anne's Pretzels & Video Bonanza.

FREE MOVIE NIGHT

OCTOBER 24TH 7:30PM

Join us for our first ever FREE Movie Night! We are partnering with the Moving Picture Cinema to bring you Goosebumps 2! The show will take place behind the main Market between the flea market barns. The show will be Saturday, October 24th at 7:30pm. Space is limited, so please come early. We ask everyone to stay with their family/friends that they came with and please be socially distant. Everyone will need to bring their own chair for the event.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

AUGUST 22 & SEPTEMBER 25

The Quakertown Farmers Market is joining forces with the Red Cross for a Blood Drive on Saturday, August 22nd from 10am-3pm and Friday, September 25th from 11am-4pm. The Red Cross will setup in Event Room #201, inside Entrance #1.  Appointments are preferred, but not needed. You can register online at redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: qmart or call 1-800- RED CROSS. There is an urgent need for blood as blood drives are not getting the amount of donations needed to keep the supply full. All blood types are needed. Be a hero, donate a pint and save a life!

CAR SHOW

OCTOBER 10

The East Penn Modifiers Car Club charity car shows will be Saturday, October 10th. The show will be in the front lot of the Market from 9am-1pm. The show is free to attend. There is a $15 registation fee to enter your car in the show. Registration forms will be avilable at the show. The show has 50/50 Raffles, Door Prizes, DJ, plus trophies for the winners and a special Shoppers Choice Award.

ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE

Our Annual Food Drive for the Quakertown Food Panty starting Friday, September 4th thru Sunday, November 15th. All canned goods and nonperishable items can be dropped off at the Market Office Wednesdays & Thursdays 9am-4pm, Fridays & Saturdays 9am-9pm or Sundays 10am-5pm.

RITE AID FLU SHOT CLINIC

OCTOBER 3

The Market is once again joining with Rite Aid to hold a Flu Shot Clinic on Saturday, October 3rd from 10am-3pm. The Clinic will be in Dept. #353A near Entrance #10. No Appointments are necessary, and the flu shot is free with most insurance coverages. Customers simply need to have their current health insurance ID card with them at time of service. Flu shot co-pays are covered under most insurance plans including Aetna, Signa, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tri-Care, Caremark as well as Medicare Part B. The CDC recommends everyone that is six months older to get a flu shot
